BUSY Season is in Full Swing as we enter the final month of 2017… My wish is that each chef
enjoys the happiness of the season, in the company of family & friends as we welcome 2018!
Our Quarterly Meeting at the Loxahatchee Club was one of our finest of the year!
A tremendous thank you to Chef David Ray and his staff, that provided an outstanding
evening for our members. The combination of educational presenters, incredible action
stations, outstanding service, and the Loxahatchee Club venue provided a memorable
evening for all. Thank you to our presenters: Chef Drew Garms, (ACF 2017 National
Chef of the Year), Chef Gerald Ford, (Upon recently earning Certified Master Chef), and
our Honorary ACF Palm Beach Member, Celebrity Chef Ralph Pagano.
Charitable NEWS Updates: (From our Quarterly Meeting)
- Chef Jeff Simms was presented a $21,000 check, for our chapter, for his
orchestration of the Culinary Creations Event, by Quantum CEO, Robbi Jurney.
- Renewal Coalition Executive Director, Mary Hinton, was presented with a $7800
chapter donation from the proceeds of our golf tournament. Very special thank you
to our Golf Chair, Chef Mitchel Pagan, & Chapter Sponsors for the effort to make it
- Nov 15 – Ultimate Dinner Party to benefit the Children’s Home Society – Thank
you to all volunteer Chefs and participants that have raised over $3.75 million in
charitable funds for the Children’s Home Society. ***Special Thank you to Chef
Rod Smith and Chef Ed Balboni that have volunteered their talent EVERY year of
our 25 year Chapter Participation.
- Our Chapter contributed $5,000 to the Texas Chefs Association Hurricane Relief
Fund to support those in need from Hurricane Harvey.
Our Chapter plans to energize our commitment to local charitable organizations by
supporting them with Food Purchases for the Holiday Season. We are committed to
supporting Boca Helping Hands and the West Palm Beach Homeless Coalition.
Thank you to all our Chef Volunteers and Chapter Sponsors that allow us to make a
difference in our local community.

Executive Chef Kenneth Llabres, of the Hilton, WPB, has designed a Reception and Sit
Down – Four Course Dinner for our members & guests. We will award our Chapter Chef
of the Year as well as stand out Members and Vendors that made for an incredible 2017!

Thursday, Jan. 18 – “The Dinner” (Formerly the Taste of Compassion)
Charitable Event to benefit Quantum House. Chef Ken Wade is coordinating chefs to
contribute action stations at this amazing event held at the Hilton WPB Convention Center.
